MacGregor Black is currently working on an opportunity with a prestigious and well-respected branded food supplier, for an International Commercial Director. The successful candidate can be based remotely in any major European country - the role will require regular international travel across UK, ROI, Scandinavia & Mainland Europe. This would be an ideal platform for an international candidate looking to transition into a Zone Vice President in the next 3 years.
This rare opportunity requires a high-profile commercial executive who will be tasked with maintaining market share and growing a new selection of food products within a wide range of local market & global customers. We are looking for outstanding candidates with a solid track record at the international Commercial/Sales Director level within well recognised FMCG/Consumer Goods suppliers.
- Lead & Defend our clients position in both local markets and across the wider region.
- Build sustainable relationships with major Customers including, Carrefour, Metro, Asda Walmart, Tesco, Aldi & Lidl etc.
- Work closely with the Zone President and Market General Managers to identify growth opportunities across the region.
- Re-shape the Centre of Commercial Excellence function to drive Customer range review delivery and stay ahead of the competition.
What are we looking for?
A senior commercial professional who has managed commercial strategy or Commercial P+L across multiple countries including the major European Markets - UK, Germany, France, Spain & Scandinavia. You will need to be familiar with the major supermarkets that exists within the region and be able to align your teams to deliver success across the zone.
You will have strong commercial acumen and be a dynamic professional who is both customer & people focussed. Ability to speak multiple European languages would be of major benefit.
On offer to the successful candidate is the opportunity to work with a portfolio of category leading FMCG brands. Base salary Circa £170,000 - £220,000 + Benefits Package (Equity option is available for the successful candidate).
