Supply Chain Lead ERP (18 month Full time FTC)

MacGregor Black are partnering with a Leading Consumer Products Producer on the search for a Supply Chain Lead. This is a Full time - FTC (18 Months) role based in Morayshire.


As the Supply Chain Lead you will lead the design and implementation of inbound supply chain and outbound distribution processes within the company's new ERP system, including dry materials procurement, materials warehousing/ issue to production and subsequent cased good order fulfilment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the project manager to develop the implementation plan for your functional area
  • Regular team meetings to provide update on status and key issues identified (both internal team and ERP Steering Group)
  • Establish effective relationships with key business users
  • Identify and allocate responsibility for the ownership of key system master data, ensuring comprehensive and accurate creation / migration of functional data on to the new platform
  • Development of a functional blueprint with consultants and business users
  • Development of key performance metric reporting
  • Work with consultants to refine prototypes of new developments in a test environment
  • Lead user training and acceptance testing for new ERP functionality
  • Plan and execute cutover and go-live activities

Inbound Supply Chain:

  • Development of dry materials procurement process
  • Establishment of purchase order release process for dry materials
  • Inbound goods receipting
  • Inspection and put-away
  • Configuration of dry materials stores within the system
  • Work with the Manufacturing lead on issue of dry materials to production
  • Establish process for Cask disgorging and vatting process, prior to bottling (Manufacturing Lead)

Dry Materials procurement:

  • Ensure component lead times are accurately established and maintained within the system
  • Develop MRP to support forecasted requirements and respond to demand triggers
  • Develop component specifications
  • Develop incoming receipt quality standards for dry materials
  • Develop solution for 3rd party outsourcing
  • Establishing multi-level bills of material (BOMs) within the IFS system
  • Develop stock controls for dry materials
  • Develop ppv tools for dry materials
  • Establish and agree costing model for dry materials

Outbound supply chain:

  • Configuration of bonded warehouse for cased goods (for UK and Export)
  • Establish process in IFS to correctly account for excise duty (W1/W5) for movements out of UB warehouse
  • Work with Sales lead to configure duty-paid warehouse for cased goods
  • Work with consultants to develop solution for voice-picking/put away - Accord or IFS Acquire
  • Work with Sales lead to establish UK and Export order fulfilment and despatch process

What we are looking for:

  • Educated to Degree level with relevant industry-specific qualifications
  • Experienced working in a manufacturing environment
  • Display a track record of working in supply chain roles and a knowledge of industry practice
  • Display a track record of managing change processes
  • Experience of implementing or working with integrated ERP systems is desirable
  • Experience in the drinks industry is desirable
  • Proven Project Management skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and with appropriate tone at all levels
  • Confident presenting to large groups
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Excellent data analytical skills and judgement with the ability to lead and manage in a complex environment
