MacGregor Black are working on a fantastic opportunity with a global FMCG manufacturer, looking for S&OP Director - Member of the Senior Leadership Team. Pulling upon all their commercial knowledge the successful candidate will need to understand what makes a large FMCG business tick, quickly establishing the threats and opportunities faced by each area of the business. They will listen, challenge and create a plan that unifies the business behind medium to long term growth targets. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work across multiple production facilities and a Home Counties -based HQ. ( flexible on remote Working)


The S&OP Director will work alongside the senior leadership team to develop and integrate a consensus plan for the entire UK & ROI business unit. This is a highly strategic role that will guide all areas of the business: - Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance. Adopting a category/market insight lead approach you will build a winning commercial plan that navigates the business through its next phase of growth. Key responsibilities will include: -

  • Taking ownership for the annual planning cycles, creating a masterplan that receives buy-in from each corner of the organisation.
  • Developing strong relationships with each function head to deliver a successful Integrated Business Planning Process
  • Monitoring and driving total business performance for UK & ROI, implementing change where necessary.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the category, predicting future trends and exploring M&A activities.

What are we looking for?

A high-profile professional with integrated business planning (IBP) / sales & operations planning (S&OP) / Long term strategy experience within a recognised FMCG supplier. Candidates with a management consultancy background may also be of interest for this opportunity but you must have worked alongside major FMCG suppliers in a strategic capacity. Your ability to analyse the market, influence multiple stakeholders, drive change and unlock growth is essential.
