MacGregor Black is currently supporting a well-respected and global packaging manufacturer, based in Manchester, on a pivotal search for a Supply Chain Director. You be responsible for streamlining the administrative flow of sales order management from receipt to delivery ensuring that we optimise our resource/utilisation.


Responsibilities


o Drive a team to deliver and exceed industry standard service levels for availability and OTIF
o Manage service in line with financial and commercial budgets, maximising turns and optimising inventory
o Develop critical internal and external networks to aggressively support growth and development
o Manage key strategic suppliers through a formal appraisal scheme to achieve exceptional standards of supply at the best cost
o Ensure that all critical data is clean and validated
o Continually look for new and improved methods and processes for managing Supply Chain to best in class standards
o Drive inter-site supply, purchasing and inventory management
o Continually innovate and optimise the Supply Chain within the UK business extending across Europe as appropriate

What we are looking for:


o Knowledge of forecasting and statistical analysis, including improving forecast accuracies
o Management of multi-million Pound inventory levels, including improving stock turn, improving availability whilst reducing non-moving stock items
o Highly developed interpersonal skills, displaying skills of persuasiveness or assertiveness as well as sensitivity to the other person's view required to influence behaviour, change opinions etc.
o Substantial relevant experience, including some MRP (ERP) experience.
o An in-depth working knowledge of modern ERP Systems, iScala experience a preference
o Problem solve and drive innovation and improvement in the operational process
o In depth knowledge and experience of transport and logistics including the management 3PL contract negotiation and relationships
