MacGregor Black is currently engaged on an exclusive search with this global leader to source a VP of Global Supply Chain. Across its 150-year history, our client has remained at the forefront of innovation, design and application engineering and is the trusted name. This role is Home-Based, with full flexibility required for UK and International travel.
The overarching requirement of the VP of Global Supply Chain is to maximise the efficiency and profitability of the company's operations while simultaneously achieving best practice in systems, process and technology, continuous improvement, supply chain, manufacturing and delivery. Primary responsibilities include the implementation and evaluation of all supply chain logistics activities and procedures, including, but not limited to, forecast, planning, procurement, inventory control, rate setting, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. Evaluate the organisation's supply chain performance against projected costs and timelines and coordinate supply chain activities across all units of the organization.
· Work effectively across the organisation to ensure successful execution of supply chain support on integrated projects
· Lead reengineering efforts as it relates to supply chain planning and execution systems
· Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/ forecasting
· Measure actual performance against goals on regular basis and present results to senior management
· Develop and implement logistics plans inclusive of supplier contracts, routing guidelines, problem resolution and cost containment
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with the ability to develop and successfully execute strategy. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of related experience, along with a bachelor's degree in either Business, Economics or Engineering. You will have expert analytical skills for the preparation of product demand forecasts, financial profitability of product and inventory management issues, as well as proven ability to build and manage successful teams with a drive for change and transformation. A Supply Chain Management Professional Certification is preferred, but not essential.
