Macgregor Black are partnering with a Global Consumer Business, on the search for a Area Sales Manager – Benelux. This is a remote role based within the Benelux territory.
As Area Sales Manager you will lead and develop a team of account managers who are tasked with generating revenue growth within the region. The role is focused on further developing existing joint business relationship and coaching sales talent.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve company sales targets through development of existing retailer base and new business opportunities in line with company strategy and close coordination with the North Europe Sales Director and global management functions.
  • Develop Joint Business Plans & initiatives.
  • Day-to-day management of the Sales Team in the area. (3 direct reports)
  • Implement strategies and reach quantitative and qualitative goals
  • Maximise sales and operating profit through a hands on approach with key accounts
  • Oversee the consumer shows
  • Seek continuous improvement within the company’s current distribution channels
  • Create an inspired, motivated and strong sales team
  • Establish and manage effectively the local business in line with the global commercial leadership principles

What are we looking for?

  • Experience with developing distribution and sales of branded goods with excellent results
  • Experience motivating and training retail sales personnel and implementing company strategies in retail environments, preferably within a consumer brand with selective distribution
  • Coaching experience and talent management capabilities
  • Demonstrable knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
  • An engaging, energetic, confident approach with a self-motivated attitude and happy to work autonomously when needed
  • Ability to lead negotiations with large multi-store retailers and ensure implementation of JBPs
  • An eye for visual merchandising excellence
