Area Sales Manager – South Germany

MacGregor Black are currently partnering with a Leading Sporting Goods company on the search for Area Sales Manager in South Germany.


As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales activities and driving revenue growth in the South Germany region. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining relationships with retailers, implementing effective sales strategies, and achieving sales targets. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading sporting goods apparel business.




  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence in the South Germany region.
  • Identify and target key accounts, build strong relationships, and negotiate sales agreements.
  • Collaborate with retailers and distributors to ensure effective product placement, merchandising, and promotional activities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Conduct regular sales visits and product presentations to potential and existing clients, showcasing the value and features of our sporting goods apparel.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence to management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to gather insights and align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Attend industry trade shows and events to network with potential customers and stay updated on industry trends.


Who we are looking for:


  • Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager or similar role in the sporting goods apparel industry.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of the South Germany market
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Results-driven with a strong customer focus and ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in German with at least proficient English, both written and spoken.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the South Germany region.
