Campaign Marketing Manager

MacGregor Black is currently partnering with an Ultra-Premium Spirits Producer, on the search for a Campaign Marketing ManagerThis is a permanent Hybrid role based in London.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Co-ordination and project management for all En Primeur, in bond and retail campaigns, across all channels (incl. in store), for wines and spirits. Key responsibilities include:
    • setting overall direction for campaigns, incl. audience targeting, key messaging, comms plans and briefing these into respective teams
    • owning the customer’s experience of the campaign from end-to-end
    • measuring success through campaign reviews and feeding back learnings into other team members
    • keeping senior stakeholders up to date and managing sign offs
    • overseeing and helping to run EP tastings at internal and external venues, ensuring these exceed customer expectations
  • Owning and creating the overall promotional calendar that details all Customer, Producer and Brand activities, working with various teams and channel managers
  • Organisation and management of monthly marketing activity to ensure the commercial, and marketing teams are aligned, and we have well-balanced communications plan each month that will deliver commercially
  • Ensuring key producers have joined-up, considered promotional plans 
  • Overseeing the delivery and execution of marketing plans for magazine and Podcast
  • Champion spirits product marketing, and lead on helping to grow the product category through a compelling marketing plan
  • Achieving the standards expected of the brand in all marketing activities
    • Briefing creative teams and working collaboratively with them to develop reputation-building collateral
    • Ensuring that campaign and customer objectives are reflected in final outputs
  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Experiences Manager to ensure all campaigns help to further our specific Customer objectives
  • Monitor competitor activity and encourage building customer understanding so you and we stay ahead of trends and aware of how the market is evolving.
  • Manage the Marketing Executive and Senior Marketing Executive, with a focus on mentorship and growth
  • Manage the marketing budget ensuring all costs for owned areas are accurately tracked, POs raised and invoices paid
  • Oversee the annual marketing budget, and lead on pulling together the annual budget submission working with finance and the wider marketing team
  • Supporting the  sales teams with occasional support with creating sales materials to promote producers
  • Leading the communications plan for sustainability initiatives through marketing

Skills, knowledge and behaviours

  • Knowledge of how to create and implement seamless and cohesive customer journeys across print, digital and events to achieve specific customer objectives
  • Innate understanding of our discerning audience’s mindset and expectations, including solid awareness and/or experience of other brands in the luxury space
  • Knowledge of the fine wine market, including key regions, terminology and customer behaviours and expectations
  • Solid awareness of competitors and trends in the fine wine and spirits market, both in the UK and globally
  • Excellent communication skills influencing both junior and senior colleagues, cross functional teams and external agencies
  • Highly collaborative and diplomatic
  • Ability to make sound judgements given limited information and knowing when to ask for guidance
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to work in a flexible manner, sometimes out of usual offices hours, to support events or achieving deadlines
  • High-functioning, proactive individual who can handle stressful situations
  • Ability to inspire and motivate other colleagues internally, both within the wider marketing team and across all practice areas
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach, being ready to get stuck in and pick things up quickly
  • Understanding of the customer behaviour and analytics used to make decisions
  • Ability to rapidly pivot from one project to the next, work well under pressure and manage deadlines
  • Good commercial aptitude
  • Strong people skills, ability to create rapport and good working relationships
  • Supportive and nurturing manager, with experience mentoring junior professionals
  • Good knowledge of excel functions for data manipulation (mailing sends, customer data etc)
  • Strong budget management skills and understanding
