MacGregor Black is delighted to partner with a Global FMCG business in their search for a Commercial Finance Manager. This is a permanent position based in York.
As the Commercial Finance Manager your primary responsibility will be to provide valuable analysis and support in strategic planning for the business. You will act as a business partner, offering decision support and ensuring performance delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Your role will involve collaborating with the Commercial team on tenders, promotions, competitive analysis, and business planning.
- Manage inflation and drive actions to recover costs through the sales team.
- Your insights will be crucial in identifying opportunities to improve margin through pricing and product development.
- You will evaluate new range and promotional plans, providing insightful pre and post-analysis, and offering valuable customer margin management for Frozen retail, Foodservice, and Export customers.
- Provide timely and accurate insights with balanced and valuable information to relevant stakeholders.
- Enhance commercial insight and analysis for effective decision-making.
- Facilitate collaboration between the commercial team and other functions to ensure optimal business outcomes and alignment of plans and actions.
What we are looking for?
- CIMA qualification or equivalent
- Strong background in commercial finance.
- High level of IT literacy, particularly in Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of providing constructive challenges to improve processes and outcomes.
