Macgregor Black are partnering with a global market leading Consumer brand, on the search for a Digital Director, based in Amsterdam.
As Digital Director you will be a performance digital native, with leading knowledge of all aspects of performance and digital marketing. You will report into the CMO, making decisions driven by data and results, constantly finding new ways to improve business value and growth throughout the performance digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve ROI on media investment globally via better media mix, targeting and allocation of spend across high performing markets
- Build the most consumer centric company in the industry.
- Make a difference by being relevant and engaging on our paid Social Media channels – Keep the leadership position in fan base while increasing total followers and improving engagement rate across social channels
- Provide stronger support for key markets via optimised global set up: team organisation, reporting and MarTech.
- Develop a performance marketing function with market leading strategy and tactics within Paid Media and CRM working in harmony to amplify the incredible Product / Brand story, with good attribution model and deep understand of the DTC channels and ROI in our 3rd party retail, wholesale, marketplace channels, leading to a good attribution model/understanding across all activity.
- Lead all Customer Retention tactics and deliver best practice in eCRM, Segmentation, Customer Insight, Loyalty / VIP, community programmes and other emerging channels that unlock material growth in 2023 and beyond
- Researching and analysing market trends, consumer demographics, consumer insights, pricing schedules, competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies.
- Building on existing personas, continue to share more and better customer insight than our peer group / competitors to continue to be famous within the category for being the best at Paid Media & CRM
- Collaborate with the wider Global and Local Marketing teams: Build resilient, but agile processes and approach with the campaign, content and creative teams which result in robust campaign and creative feedback loops to maximise ROI across all activity
- Collaborate with the Commercial & eCommerce teams: Creating strong processes and approach to elevate landing/entry page experiences for target audiences across all sales channels and geographies, great visitor to order conversion will positively impact your spending efficiencies
- Support and challenge the Marketing / eCommerce Tech stack: working cross functionally, support and challenge internal teams / external partners to build the right tools the business needs to operate, which are secure / compliant with regulatory requirements
- Enhance strategy: along with our shareholders and senior leadership team, further codify the strategy (Products, Target Audience, Sales Channels & Geographies & how we operate, how we behave etc) to give us the best possible chance of hitting its objectives
- Keep up to date with performance / performance digital marketing & eCommerce best practice of tomorrow through training, research – with close attention to how AI can maximise productivity
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, feedback, and mentorship to ensure that team members are engaged, motivated, and delivering results
- Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring that we are always seeking out new ideas and ways to improve our products, processes and defensible position against competitors.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with the operational and executive board

What are we looking for?
- At least 8 years of experience in performance digital marketing in both acquisition & retention functions globally
- Comprehensive experience with consumer trends, channels and platforms in EMEA, US and APAC
- In-depth knowledge and experience using various performance digital marketing platforms and tools
- Proven track record of effective budget planning and management
- Experience interpreting analytics reports and producing actionable insights
- Experience working with and building consensus across cross-departmental teams
- You will be a collaborative and inclusive leader with a willingness to listen and learn from different perspectives
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, becoming a champion for the brand and its values
- An entrepreneurial mindset and growth orientated attitude
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate the fast faced and evolving nature of the business
