Macgregor Black are currently in partnership with a premium spirits company on the search for regional sales manager. This is a permanent- hybrid role based in London.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Account Manager with specific expertise in the on-trade pub group segment of the drinks sector. As the Regional Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key on-trade pub group accounts across the specified region. Your primary goal will be to drive sales, increase market share, and maximize revenue growth within the drinks sector.
Key Responsibilities:

Account Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with on-trade pub group accounts within the region. Understand their unique needs, preferences, and objectives, and act as the main point of contact for all account-related inquiries.

Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets within the on-trade pub group segment. Identify growth opportunities, negotiate contracts, and execute pricing strategies to optimize profitability.

New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region. Prospect for potential clients, conduct market research, and generate leads to expand the customer base and market presence in the drinks sector.

Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s portfolio of products within the drinks sector. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to effectively position and differentiate our offerings.

Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Utilize market insights to develop innovative sales strategies, promotions, and marketing initiatives to drive business growth.

Collaborative Relationships: Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure seamless execution of account plans. Communicate customer requirements, market intelligence, and feedback to internal stakeholders to facilitate product improvements and business development efforts.

Sales Performance Tracking: Track, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics, including sales volume, revenue, and market share. Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to achieve targets.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Act as an advocate for on-trade pub group customers within the organization to ensure their needs are met.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Regional Account Manager within the drinks sector, specifically focusing on on-trade pub group accounts.
- In-depth knowledge of the on-trade pub group segment, including an understanding of customer needs, industry dynamics, and competitor landscape.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with key stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and consumer insights.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to travel within the assigned region as required
